Hou Hanru to curate Auckland Triennial

Curator Hou Hanru

Hou Hanru has been announced as the curator of the 5th Auckland Triennial.  Hanru is currently the Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs at the San Francisco Art Institute and has previously curated the Lyon Biennale, the Istanbul Biennale, and the Venice Biennale. Describing his appointment Hanru stated: “I’m looking forward to being a part of this unique exhibition experience, and I am excited to be in New Zealand.” The Auckland Triennial opens on March 22nd, 2013.
