Antony creates work for MOMA

Antony Hegarty (of Antony and the Johnsons fame) has been commissioned to create a new multimedia work for the Museum of Modern Art, New York.  Featuring a 60 piece orchestra and a whole bunch of lasers, Swanlights has grown too large to appear in MOMA’s atrium as originally intended and will instead occur at Radio City Music Hall in January next year.  The project, which takes its name from Hegarty’s most recent album, will also incorporate material from the musician’s previous LP’s, including his break-though record I Am a Bird Now.  Tickets to this “meditation on light, nature and femininity” go on sale on November 12th.
